Get paid to care for your own child.
If your child is age 5 or older and approved for Georgia's GAPP program, the Family Caregiver Option can let you, their parent, grandparent, or close relative, be hired and paid by HeartPath as their Personal Support Services caregiver. You already do the work. This is how you get paid for it.
- Training provided by our Director of Nursing
- A nurse supervisor supporting you
- Care stays at home, with family
The paid Family Caregiver Option is for children ages 5 and older. If your child is younger and needs medical care, in-home skilled nursing is available at any age, call us and we'll help.

How it works
Georgia requires every paid caregiver to be trained, screened, and supervised, including family. We walk you through all of it.
- 1
Tell us about your family
A two-minute application. We only need enough to check whether the Family Caregiver Option is open to you.
- 2
We confirm GAPP approval
Your child must be approved for GAPP with Personal Support Services hours authorized on their plan. We check this with you directly.
- 3
Training and clearances
You complete 40 hours of caregiver training with our Director of Nursing, plus a background check with fingerprinting, CPR and First Aid, and health screening.
- 4
You start paid shifts
Once everything is cleared and signed off, you're a HeartPath employee caring for your own child, on weekly payroll.
